New Americans

We are excited to partner with The New York State Office for New Americans (ONA) on a new initiative, Immigrants Can Code, a Digital Literacy pilot, that will help newcomers to New York State gain digital literacy skills.

Building off of our existing Beginner Computer Training, offered remotely, this 10-week program will help bridge the skills gap for all people who now need to be proficient in digital tools for work and life. This course will allow students to become skilled in computer usage and common software programs, and some may continue to take one of our more advanced courses designed to help students begin a career as a software developer.

This partnership will help ensure that New York’s immigrant community will have access to digital literacy education and training essential to building careers in the Empire State’s fast-growing innovation economy.

Anyone interested in taking advantage of this program, please submit the form below and mention “Office for New Americans” in your message.
