The Appalachian region is home to 25.7 million people, stretching across 13 U.S. states and 423 counties. The growing economic opportunities in the Appalachian region are primed to play an essential role in bridging the digital divide seen throughout communities in the U.S.
AppalachiaCanCode is proud to support that effort by providing education and training to prepare individuals for careers as software coders, developers, and engineers, providing individuals within the Appalachian communities that opportunity for economic mobility to enhance their quality of life.
AppalachiaCanCode is working closely with educational partner Jamestown Community College in Jamestown, NY, to offer computer and coding programs that equip people with the skills needed to pursue job opportunities in the tech industry while also establishing a pipeline of tech talent to serve the needs of the business community.
