Several Can Code team members share expertise, showcase programs, and build national connections at premier digital equity event.

This May, several Can Code team members traveled to Phoenix, Arizona for the 10th Annual NDIA Net Inclusion Conference—an energizing week of sharing insights, forging connections, and celebrating the nationwide push for digital equity. Founder & CEO Annmarie Lanesey, Deputy Director of Operations Caro Anders-Maralit, Bilingual Instructor & Community Coordinator Delma Wood, and Marketing & Enrollment Coordinator Haley Chaykowski-Jewett proudly represented Can Code among hundreds of digital inclusion leaders.

Annmarie led two sessions: a breakout panel titled “Unlock Success: Training Essentials for Staff & Volunteers” and a compelling discussion on “AI for All,” where she explored how organizations are embracing AI to strengthen community impact. Annmarie and Delma also co-presented a lightning round session spotlighting Can Code’s Beginner Computer Training Program for New Americans, with Delma delivering her portion in Spanish—a powerful reminder of the importance of multilingual access.

The Can Code team was joined by local and statewide partners, including Heather Senecal of United Way of the Greater Capital Region and members of the NYS Digital Equity Network. From fresh program ideas to renewed momentum, Net Inclusion 2025 reaffirmed the vital role of collaboration in closing the digital divide.
