Tami has been the President and CEO of Documentation Strategies, Inc. (docstrats) since her acquisition in 2015. She builds Docstrats’ success by connecting businesses with resources to successfully complete mission-critical projects. In her current role, she works with both public and private sector clients to determine and provide project resource needs based on timeline, budget, and overall project health.
Tami’s background includes over twenty years in designing and implementing business applications, working for two of the Capital Region’s well-known consulting companies: CGI (previously Deloitte Consulting/DRT Systems), on her own as an independent consultant, and PwC for 13 years.
She has worked in every facet of business application development, from analyzing and documenting the business’ needs to coding and testing applications as well as writing user guides and training employees on using applications effectively. Tami utilizes the many skillsets she has acquired over the years to run the business. Her experience and passion for delivering quality provide her valuable insights used to collaborate with clients on creating roadmaps for their successful project completion.
Tami’s unorthodox entry into the Information Technology sector began in 1997 with a Software Development Bootcamp she was hired into at DRT Systems, a subsidiary of Deloitte Consulting. Through this intense 16-week bootcamp, she was educated in a variety of development concepts such as database design, SQL, object-oriented programming principles, and client/server front- end development using PowerBuilder. Her aptitude to grasp these concepts quickly and her willingness to study and focus on continuously growing her skills launched her into a successful 25+ year IT career.
