Mica Gonzalez, Community Program Coordinator for CanCode Communities, has 10 years of experience working regionally and statewide. Her work at CanCode entails ensuring the success of programming by building relationships with communities, stakeholders, as well as current and upcoming talent in the Mohawk Valley and Western NY region. Additionally, she provides ongoing support for students to ensure that they are successful and creatively addresses barriers that may occur.
Over the years, Mica has worked with various populations including youth, families, people with disabilities, the LGBTQIA+ community and most recently with people in recovery, by providing training, technical assistance, support and resources. Mica graduated with her bachelor’s degree in social work from Syracuse University in 2020 and is currently enrolled in Syracuse University’s Master of Social Work program. She is excited to share her knowledge with communities, students, and others at CanCode.
