We offer a range of classes at differing levels, taught by industry professionals. Local employers visit classes to serve as mentors, and provide valuable networking opportunities. Our staff provides career counseling, resume review, and guidance for those who are ready to begin their job searches.
In 2019, a generous grant of $25,000 from SEFCU allowed us to provide more targeted support to veterans in our classes. This fund allows us to provide full scholarships, as well as support funds for transportation, childcare, or additional program assistance. Our goal is to remove barriers we can that would prevent a student from completing course. We have already been able to provide support and scholarships to six students in our spring and fall 2019 cohorts, and hope to be able to work with more veterans in the spring of 2020.
